Our way
DKCO was established in 1994 and is today the leader within the firm’s area of work. Since the start one of the fundamental ambitions of the company has been to work together with the clients, not only for them. The services of DKCO have a pronounced focus on commerce and we are not afraid to be innovative within a conservative industry.
Quality development through continuous improvements has also always been one of our guiding principles. This regards both our personnel as well as the technique we use. We follow the Finnish Bar Associations rules of professional conduct for advocates as well as applicable laws and other regulatory requirements.
A part of our strategy is that we work close to each other. All lawyers work in an open landscape office with easy access to each other’s expertise and experience. Our internal way to work makes the cooperation between the lawyers stimulating. We encourage, critique and assist each other. Thus, our skills and experiences develop for the client’s best. We work together toward the same goals, have the same ambitions and believe in teamwork. We also make use of the advantage of having several lawyers who can jointly handle larger cases with a relatively short period of notice.
Our principal target group consists of corporate customers, but our clientele includes also private individuals and organisations. We handle, among other things, commissions from banks, insurance companies, municipalities, shipping companies and industries, but also from smaller family businesses and individuals in need of legal consultation.
We have specialised in various corporate legal arrangements such as emissions, reorganisations, corporate acquisitions, mergers, partitions and other related financial transactions. We have furthermore particularly specialised in employment law, competition law, public procurement law and contract law.
Our ambition is to protect the client’s interest in the best possible way and to deliver what the client needs. We place special emphasis on working in close co-operation with our clients and also on a personal involvement, free of extraneous influences.

Knowledge management
DKCO continuously collects and organizes the employees’ works, ideas, reports and experiences so that these can be used and developed. This way DKCO’s services are strengthened. In addition to a comprehensive digital library the lawyers use quality assured template documents with comments and suggestions for alternative wordings. Knowledge management within DKCO is a integrated part of everyday work and enables an effective and innovative case management.

Sport

Business and education
Since 2010 DKCO is the main sponsor of the Business Day, which is held in conjunction with Paf Open. On the Business Day people meet to network and to listen to world class lecturers talking about their experiences, about among other things change in companies. The Business Day is held next time on Thursday 18 August 2011. Since 2004, DKCO awards a scholarship to promising law students.
